Week in Review: November 7-10

We had a great week in Lower Elementary, even though is was unexpectedly short! Students were busy with language, math, and cultural jobs.

For language jobs, first grade students reviewed prefixes and adjectives. Second grade students reviewed prefixes and wrote sentences with prepositions. Third graders reviewed prefixes and wrote sentences with pronouns.

For math jobs, first graders had further practice with large multiplication problems, worked with bar graphs, added fractions, and wrote number words. Second graders had further practice with one digit and two digit multiplication problems, worked with bar graphs and pie charts, and added large fractions. Third graders worked with all math operations, created their own graphs, added and subtracted fractions, and measured angles.

For cultural jobs, students finished their work with King Tut and Egypt. Students were also introduced to electricity this week.

We look forward to a busy November and December! Please be sure to check the blog and your child's red folder for upcoming events and information. Please look under the Links section of the blog to see the November Updates newsletter.
