Week in Review: April 18th - 22nd

Lower Elementary students had a great week! Third grade students had a blast at Camp McDowell! Look for pictures coming soon!

For language jobs, first grade students practiced identifying suffixes, were introduced to adverbs, and placed commas in the appropriate places among a list of nouns. Second graders wrote sentences with pronouns, placed commas in the appropriate places among a list of nouns, and identified possessive nouns.

For math jobs, first graders worked with math operations (addition, multiplication, subtraction), practiced subtraction facts,  compared numbers, and found unknown variables to complete addition and multiplication problems. Second graders practiced all math operations, practiced division facts, compared numbers, and found unknown variables to solve problems from all operations.

We look forward to the coming week where students will complete plant experiments, discuss the Native American tribes of the Southwest, and continue a study of the different biomes. It will be a great week!
