For language jobs, all students reviewed dictionary/thesaurus skills and were introduced to the different types of sentences. First graders reviewed prepositions, second graders were introduced to conjunctions, and third graders analyzed sentences containing direct objects and/or adverbial phrases and were introduced to quotation marks.
For math jobs, all students practiced solving fraction word problems and money word problems, created tally charts, and identified flips (reflections), turns (rotations), and slides (translations). First grade students were introduced to the commutative property of addition and multiplication, while second graders were introduced to the commutative and associative property of addition and multiplication, and third graders were introduced to the commutative, associative, and identity property of addition and multiplication.
