Week in Review : January 25th- 29th

We had a wonderful week in Lower Elementary! The students diligently practiced their self-selected jobs for Parent's Night all week. Thank you to all who came out for Parent's Night! The students took great pride in their role as teachers!

In addition to practicing for Parent's Night, students received a presentation on the different types of roots a plant can have. Did you know that a potato isn't actually a root, but a sweet potato is? Students were fully engaged in our discussion and also enjoyed observing the radish seeds that have sprouted in the classroom. Students also finished their study of the American Revolution by watching a movie about a young Colonial girl living in the American Colonies in 1775.

This week, students will be introduced to decimals, explore the use of commas within a sentence, continue their study of linear measurement, and solve riddles involving the geometric solids. It will be a wonderful week!
