For math jobs this week,  First grade students were introduced to multiplication and worked with adding fractions . Second grade students had further practice with subtracting large numbers and had continued work with adding and subtracting fractions. Third grade students had further practice with solving division problems with larger numbers and multiplying fractions.

In Science, students continued their study of light. This week, we completed four stations which explored reflection, refraction, the light spectrum, and classifying materials as transparent, translucent, or opaque.

In History, students continued their study famous African Americans in honor Black History month. Students began research on the famous African American of their choice. Students will research the childhood, education, and contributions of the person they chose.
